Review: Needed a GMT watch on short notice. Traveling overseas for work. Had the GMT from Parnis Watch first. They use respectable Miyota movements in most of their pieces. Unfortunately the GMT complication isn’t cheap for any decent mechanical movement maker. So Parnis uses a crappy Chinese GMT movement and it shows. I have my eye on the Tudor Black Bay GMT but they are so far backordered I wouldn’t get it until after the work trip. So it’s got to be a Ronda 515.24H quartz GMT movement for now. I was between this Davosa and the Victorinox Infantry GMT on mesh bracelet for the same price. I probably should have got the Victorinox to be honest. This Davosa feels great for the price point and it looks pretty good until you get to the details. The bezel and the seconds hand are both between markings when they stop. I can fix the seconds hand issue but I shouldn’t have to. The dial and hands are lumed but don’t expect anything useful from that fact. You have to deliberately charge it with a light source and then stand in a closet to tell. I’m used to my Seikos that charge off whatever incidental light you walk past and they glow all night.
