Review: The watch was inspired from a prototype based on the A-15 from the 1940s that never made it to production. It has a 42mm case with 20mm lugs which feels perfect for what it's intended to be–a pilot's watch. The contrast between the black dial with white and yellow numerals may seem confusing at first but they actually read well and are legible. That's where the positives on the 96A245 end. I don't know why they decided on a Citizen-Miyota 82S6 movement. Mine has been running fast. I have been getting anywhere +28-35 seconds a day. I have owned cheaper Chinese automatics in the past that have shown better accuracy. After a few months I had to drop my rating to 3 stars. There is a real issue with the strap. It's leather and looks great but it's much too long. I have a slightly 7 1/8" wrist and even on the last hole it fit loosely. If you have an 8" wrist or larger it won't be a problem for you. I replaced it with another strap which cost me extra. And as others have noted, the crowns which turn the two outside rings rotate too easily. For the price these sell for Bulova should at the very least have made them screw down or increased the turn tension. Throughout the day the rotating dials end up all over the place, completely defeating the purpose of it being a timer or GMT. C'mon Bulova, how does this get past quality control? If you can deal with these flaws then perhaps you will enjoy wearing it more than I have. I wanted to like this watch but will be selling mine off to fund a different dual time watch. One where the rotating dials actually stay in place.
