The stone is set is on a highly polished silver base which really gets light through the stone ands sets it off beautifully. Iolite is the gemstone for the twenty-first wedding anniversary. The ring is a German size 16 (56mm finger circumference), a US 5 1/2 and a British L The ring comes packaged in a matt white environmentally friendly presentation box, ready to be given and received with love. All my metal is from a company which is a member of the Responsible Jewelry Council. They deal only in recycled silver and gold. They smelt their metals to the highest environmental standards, to cause the least impact on the environment. They do not deal with newly mined metals, as these metals cause much greater destruction to the environment. There is no visible difference between recycled metals and newly-mined metals.
