Description: Seiko Conceptual Solar Quartz Black Chronograph Dial Black PVD Steel Bracelet Men's Watch SSC773P1 The Case: The Seiko Conceptual SSC773P1 is housed in a 41.6mm diameter case that is crafted out of black PVD stainless steel - the case has been treated to a super-hard coating, which offers greater resistance to scratching. It features a push/pull crown at 3 o'clock and two push-buttons located at 2 and 4 o'clock that provide the wearer with access to the sub-dials. Sapphire crystal glass provides the watch with protection against scratches and shattering. The case is secured by a solid caseback that is etched with the typography 'Macchina Sportiva', which fuses the uniquely high functionality of Seiko's leading calibres with Italian design. The Dial: The black dial showcases a black carbon-fibre style pattern, evoking a sleek and sporty feel. This is accentuated by the chronograph layout - meaning it features additional dial complications that can be used to measure and displays elapsed time, that can assist in timing events or intervals. It consists of three sub-dials at 6, 9 and 12 o'clock that exhibit a 60-second display, a 12-hour display and a 60-minute display. The dial is also equipped with a tachymeter that is located around the chapter ring. This can be used to measure speed based on time travelled over a fixed distance. It also features baton-style hour markers and a sword-style handset that has been filled with a luminous material which allows for nighttime readability. A date-display window is located at 3 o'clock. The Bracelet: The watch is presented on an oyster-style 3-link black PVD stainless steel bracelet that has been treated to a brushed finish. It fastens through the use of a three fold clasp that is signed with the Seiko logo. The Functions: This timepiece is powered by Seiko's V176 calibre solar quartz movement. It has an accuracy of +/- 15 seconds per month and a battery life of around 6 months when fully charged. It is also an eco-friendly movement, as it converts light energy into electrical energy, which is stored in the rechargeable battery and used to power the watch. It is water resistant up to 100 metres, which means that it is possible to swim or snorkel with the watch on, but it is not appropriate for diving. Review: I’m a budget watch collector and lean towards Seiko and Casio models (amongst other brands). Perusing Amazon I came across this watch which, on offer plus an extra 10% off, was a no ‘brainer’ purchase. I won’t review the watch (look on YouTube for other’s opinions) but I will say I’m well chuffed.

Review: Liked the look of the watch …and also looked to add a chronograph to my collection..but it just stopped working out of the blue so I’m bitterly disappointed. Didn’t seem to hold enough charge for the chronograph function to work,then just stopped working completely. I’m going to need to contact customer service for a refund because my return date has passed.
