Description: The Sterling Silver Electron Libre Chainmail Necklace by NAIIAD. A chain maille bead is handcrafted with small Sterling silver rings assembled one at a time. It glides freely onto a semi-rigid Sterling silver neck wire The Sterling silver neck wire is 1. 3mm thick and is securely closed with a friction type clasp. It measures approximately 16 inches/40 cm. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like a longer neck wire (18 inches/45 cm) About the Designer Born in the beautiful South of France, I moved to Ireland 18 years ago. After travelling the world and doing various jobs, I learnt metalsmithing and jewellery design at the AFEDAP Jewellery School in Paris. I then discovered the art of chainmail, the ancient art of assembling rings one at a time to weave fabric like patterns with metal. Chain maille is beautifully fluid and tactile, and I love exploring the endless creative possibilities offered by mixing chain maille with traditional silversmithing techniques. It allows me to create modern, feminine and unique pieces of jewellery which are a true pleasure to wear. My creations are an expression of my own personal journey, finding and embracing my deep nature as a woman, my inner strength as well as my femininity and sensuality. Trying to learn and grow more each day.
